Anything Once Upon a Time-related? — Kirsty
The mission to save Hook from the Underworld will quickly be expanded once Emma and the gang reunite with both friend and foe alike. “The second half is going to be very similar to the first season in that we’re going to see Storybrooke as a place of people with unfinished business,” executive producer Edward Kitsis says. “We have to wonder if we can’t help them find their happy endings even in the afterlife.”

Did you get an answer from Once Upon a Time‘s Sean Maguire about the rumor that he’s leaving? —MRiku
As promised in Ask Ausiello, I did ask Maguire about this at the 100th-episode party, and he was (alas) expectedly spoiler-free on his status — though he did acknowledge that dangerous times are ahead for Robin and the other heroes. “We’re going to the Underworld, so I don’t expect much good stuff is going to happen! But as to where it’s going to lead [for Robin], I can’t say,” he hedged. “There are obstacles everywhere — a lot of bad people from the past are coming back and they are not too happy with our heroes. If Once Upon a Time was the Star Wars franchise, this would be Empire Strikes Back. It’s going to get dark, it’s going to be scary, and there will be surprises.”

Is Operation Light Swan still on when Once Upon a Time returns? –Allison
No, it appears Operation Light Swan has served its purpose, to be replaced by a new mission Henry dubs “Operation Firebird.”

Is there anything you can tease about the Underworld on Once Upon a Time? — Tanya
First, did you see this? Second, though I’ve actually been to the Underworld myself, I’ll let Josh Dallas take this one. “It’s a place that, once they get there, they’re going to discover that possibly some of these people can be saved and brought out of there, because maybe they’re misplaced in this world,” Dallas says. “We’re going to meet some people down there that maybe you don’t expect or you haven’t seen in quite a while — maybe a family member of David’s we might see down there. There is definitely a particular person down there for David that he’s going to come across, and Mary Margaret will come across that person too.” (Hint: The answer can be found in the recent Hot Seat.)

Cinder: Get ready to see the story of Cinderella like you’ve never seen it before (My thoughts on book #1 of The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer)

https://i2.wp.com/d.gr-assets.com/books/1388186881l/11235712.jpg

Let me start off this review by saying that much like Veronica Roth’s Divergent, Cinder is a book that I’ve wanted to read for a very long time. Thankfully, it didn’t completely disappoint me like Divergent did. I’d even say that Cinder actually exceeded my expectations. That being said, I’m pretty sure that I wasn’t aware of the fact that Cinder is the first book in a series called The Lunar Chronicles until very recently when I saw reviews for the third book in the series, Cress, and a review for the fifth and final book in the series, Winter, on one of my favorite book review channels on YouTube, Bookables. With that said, here are my thoughts on Cinder.

One of the reasons why I’ve always wanted to read Cinder is because I’ve always been a huge fan of retellings or “reimaginings” of fairy tales. I love the movie Hoodwinked, but admittedly I still need to see Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs. Evil. I’m also a huge fan of the TV shows Once Upon a Time and Grimm. Much like those examples of fairytale retellings, Cinder is an awesome new take on the story of Cinderella. Another reason why I love this book so much is because I’m also a fan of science fiction books, TV shows, and movies. This story definitely contains some elements of science fiction given the fact that the character Cinder is a cyborg and people apparently live on the moon in the Lunar Chronicles world.

Linh Cinder, who’s usually simply referred to as “Cinder” in the book, is a very fun and likable character. I love how she really has a tendency to be sarcastic. At the same time, she’s definitely a character that has a lot of heart and compassion for others, despite the fact that her stepmother, Linh Adri, and her stepsister, Linh Pearl, are both quite mean to her. Cinder clearly cares a lot about her other stepsister, Linh Peony, who was also a great character. I was definitely very sad about the fact that Peony died after she contracted the letumosis plague.

The interaction between Cinder and Dr. Erland as they worked together throughout the book to try and find a cure for the letumosis plague was a lot of fun to read, and one of my favorite aspects of the book. I’m really hoping that Dr. Erland will be featured in the other books in The Lunar Chronicles series in some capacity. The fact that the citizens of New Bejing were dealing with the threat of a plague definitely added a really interesting element to the story and created some very compelling drama in the story as well, with Peony and Prince Kai’s father, Emperor Rikan, sadly both dying from the plague.

Once Upon a Time: Scoop on the possibility of Neal being in the Underworld from TVLine’s Matt Webb Mitovich

https://therandomthoughtsofawriter.files.wordpress.com/2016/01/once-upon-time-season-4.jpg?w=259&h=172

Here’s some scoop on Once Upon a Time from this week’s (Posted on 1/19/16) Matt’s Inside Line column.

On Once Upon a Time, is there going to be any mention of Neal possibly being in the Underworld? –Shannon
Though Season 5B will quickly lay out the rules for who is and isn’t lingering in the Underworld, “I would think that it would be very disappointing for Emma to go down there and not have somebody talk about Neal,” says co-creator Eddy Kitsis.

Casting related scoop on season 3 of The Strain and episode 5×15 of Once Upon a Time from TVLine’s Matt Webb Mitovich

Here’s some scoop on The Strain and Once Upon a Time from this week’s (Posted on 12/15/15) Matt’s Inside Line column.

Any new faces coming to either The Strain, Sleepy Hollow, Supernatural or Once Upon a Time? –lilslim
I choose from Column A… and Door No. 4. For Season 3, The Strain is adding the recurring roles of Kroft, a Navy SEAL team leader who finds himself hunting strigoi (and curiously, the actor must be “comfortable with prosthetics”), and Kate Beckett Nelson, an NYPD captain in charge of a squad of combatants. Once Upon a Time meanwhile is casting for Episode 15 the role of Captain Silver, the commanding (and sometimes bullying) boss of a merchant ship.
