Here’s some scoop on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. from this week’s (Posted on 2/23/16) Matt’s Inside Line column.

Do you have any info on what the Maveth Inhuman’s agenda will be when Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns? Is he planning to rule Earth, like Hydra thinks? Or does he have his own plans? –Michaela
His (its?) agenda is a massively looming question as Season 3 resumes, as affirmed by this excerpt from the winter premiere’s logline: “The divide between those who want to protect Inhumans and those who seek to destroy them is constantly widening, and Hydra, now strengthened by Grant Ward, looms once again. However, Ward is no longer the same villainous traitor that they once knew, and [in him] the team faces an all-new enemy whose motivations, goals and strengths are unclear.” I’ll have more on the slithery subject from Brett Dalton in the weeks to come.

Any word yet on if/when Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will tie into Captain America: Civil War? –Ryan
Maybe it already has…? As Clark Gregg points out, the first half of the season “set up… the beginning of Secret Warriors, and some stuff that miiiight connect with Civil War — although I don’t know that! But with the Inhuman outbreak, you have people with powers suddenly all over the place. And there are those who feel that people who evolve differently need to be eradicated. And there are those who remember that those people are also humans. And there are divisions among those people.” All of which kinda sounds like the seeds of a “civil war” to me!

By the looks of the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. trailer, will we find out on March 8 what Inhuman Ward is now? — Marie More
You will certainly suspect what Ward is now, but you’ll have to wait for confirmation. “This is a new version of Ward,” Brett Dalton says. “The Ward that we know and love is not there anymore. He’s going to be a little different. He’s inhabited by another creature which has existed for centuries on this other world called Maveth. There have been monuments that have been built in his honor. He has access to all of the thoughts and memories that Ward had.” (More on that here.)

Would love to know the episode title-synopsis for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. 311! — Susan
Your wish is my command. I can exclusively reveal that the title of the midseason premiere is “Bouncing Back.” And here’s the synopsis: “In the aftermath of his trip to Maveth, Coulson is more determined than ever to get to Gideon Malick and put an end to Hydra once and for all. Daisy and the team encounter more Inhumans who have powers like they’ve never seen before, but will they be friends or enemies of S.H.I.E.L.D.?” Dun. Dun. Duuuuuun.

On Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., will we see Andrew again or is he now just Lash? –Susan
Last we saw, Andrew seemed in control of his “Lashing out,” but whether he can ever be separated from his Inhuman alter ego — especially after indulging in that grisly rampage! — remains to be seen. “In her hope of hopes, May’s hoping [Andrew can be brought back],” says Ming-Na Wen, “but… I don’t think it’s happening. But I just don’t know!”

Elizabeth Henstridge says Jemma’s feelings for Fitz get stronger on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Anymore scoop on that? — Ditchthel
It’s been roughly three months since the events that happened on Maveth, but Simmons is “still in the grieving process,” Elizabeth Henstridge tells me. “She’s experiencing some survivor’s guilt. Fitz has been so supportive throughout the whole thing. She’s going further down that path with him and her feelings. She loves him and wants to be with him. She hasn’t forgotten about Will, but it’s more the guilt she’s carrying. They’re taking things slowly on whether they’re going to get together or not.”

How will Lincoln’s relationship with Daisy evolve now that they’re working together on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.? — Angel
In case you missed it, we’ll see them dating when the show returns for the second half of the season, but I imagine it won’t be easy as Daisy’s Secret Warriors really start to come together. “Being a leader is a mixed bag,” EP Jed Whedon says. “Daisy is going to find out that it’s not just getting to call the shots. The decisions you make you have to live with. She’ll have to face that reality in coming episodes.”
